Why hosted

OpenClaw, without the DevOps

OpenClaw is a fast, open-source AI assistant you normally self-host. AgentRoost runs it for you on dedicated hardware: persistent disk, always-on runtime, auto-provisioned Telegram bot, and an LLM bill metered against included credits. The gateway binds to loopback only and is locked to your Telegram account — none of the public-exposure footguns of a hand-rolled deployment.

Managed

No Docker, no YAML

We build and run the OpenClaw image. You pick it in a wizard.

Private

Loopback-dark gateway

The control plane never leaves the workspace; DMs are owner-locked.

Always on

Supervised runtime

Crash-restart supervision keeps the agent answering 24/7.

Step 1

Create an account and a managed agent

  • 1Sign in at agentroost.app and add a verified email (used for invoices).
  • 2On Workspaces, click New managed agent and pick a tier — Starter is plenty to begin.
  • 3Complete checkout. Polar is the merchant of record — your statement reads “Polar”.
Every managed tier includes monthly LLM credits, so you can start chatting without bringing your own key.
Tiers
  • Starter — 1 vCPU · 2 GB
  • Plus — 2 vCPU · 4 GB
  • Pro — 4 vCPU · 8 GB
Included
  • Monthly LLM credits
  • Auto-provisioned bot
  • Persistent NVMe disk
Wizard · Step 1

Pick the OpenClaw framework

  • The wizard opens on Choose your agent. Select OpenClaw.
  • Both frameworks produce the same product — a private 24/7 Telegram assistant. Hermes is the default; OpenClaw is the open-source option, hardened for hosting.
  • The framework is fixed for the life of the agent — to switch later, create a new agent.
Choosing OpenClaw renders a managed openclaw.json for you: gateway bound to loopback, token auth, and your model allowlist — nothing to configure by hand.

The rest is the same four steps

After picking OpenClaw, the wizard is identical to any managed agent. Every step can be changed later from the agent's settings.

Step 3

Telegram

Auto-provision the bot — no BotFather needed.

Step 4

Use included credits or bring your own key.

Step 5

Launch

Wizard · Step 3

Connect to Telegram

  • 1Choose Use Managed Bots — we create the bot for you. (Already have one? Paste its BotFather token instead.)
  • 2Verify your Telegram identity so the agent can be locked to your account.
  • 3Open Telegram, follow the prompts to create the bot, press Start.
Private by design: OpenClaw's DM policy is set to an allowlist of just your Telegram id — strangers who find the bot can't talk to it.

Wizard · Step 4

Choose a model

  • Use AgentRoost credits — included with every tier, the recommended start.
  • Pick any of 350+ models. Claude Haiku 4.5 is a great default; free models like Owl Alpha exist too.
  • OpenClaw routes every call through our metered proxy — switching models later is one click.
Bringing your own key? OpenClaw also speaks directly to OpenRouter, OpenAI, or Anthropic — choose a BYO tier instead.

Wizard · Step 5

Launch your OpenClaw agent

Click Launch my agent. We materialize the OpenClaw config, start the supervised gateway, and connect Telegram — ready in about 30 seconds.

Watch the readiness status in the top right.
Message your bot on Telegram — OpenClaw replies straight away.
You're live

Your OpenClaw agent is running

Message the bot on Telegram to start. Name, persona, and model are all editable later from settings, and the runtime is supervised — if the gateway ever exits, it relaunches automatically.

Tip 1

Switch models anytime

The model lives in the managed config; one click re-renders it and restarts the gateway.

Tip 2

Add a personality

Describe how OpenClaw should behave — it's injected as the workspace SOUL.

Tip 3

It stays private

The gateway never leaves loopback and only your Telegram id is allowlisted.
